A clear, sunny day. The tantalizing smell of barbecuing beef. The luscious pasta salad. Barbecue beans rich with sweet brown sugar. The decadence of Mississippi mud pie. Family gatherings. Fireworks.

Ah, the fourth of July. One of the greatest days in our year, the day we celebrate our independence and countryhood. What better way to enjoy it than spending the day outside, enjoying the beautiful country we won so long ago?

Unfortunately, in July, the weather can be as hot as it is beautiful, and there will be times when folks want to retreat into the cool air of your home.

One question: is your home staying cool enough to create a welcoming environment you want to offer to your guests? We are about to give you the tips you need to make sure it is! Water isn’t the only way to stay hydrated. Drinking coffee and tea (in moderation) can help your body to better absorb the hydration you give it.

Eating delicious, water-filled fruits and vegetables like melon and bell pepper can also help, and they’re healthy to snack on, too! Staying hydrated means you have to run your AC less to stay cool inside your home. And your body will be happy!

Keep Cool Air Flowing With a Fresh Filter

airfilterIt’s the middle of the year – have you checked your lately? Once it fills up with dirt and allergens from working hard to keep your air clean, it’s not very useful anymore.

Not to mention that with all of the traffic going in and out of your house, a fair amount of smoke from the barbecuing can come in, and you want to be sure your air filter can handle that.

It won’t be able to if it’s clogged from working hard to protect your home all year. A good HEPA filter will help you to catch even the smallest of allergens like pollen and pet dander. Don’t you want the best in your home?
